Lenovo Announces IdeaTab S2 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet

Lenovo announced the launch CES 2012 with new 10 inch tablet that runs on Ice Cream Sandwich. With the launch of this tablet Lenovo has officially adopted the name of the tablet and the moon Pad, replacing IdeaPad be IdeaTab. Lenovo IdeaTab S2 will have a laptop dock, and select the target consumers who need a tablet to help him in productivity.

Lenovo IdeaTab S2 It boasts 10-inch display and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. The new tablet is thinner from its predecessor and weighs just .98kg. The IdeaTab S2 10 will be powered by dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 89650 processor. The tablet offers many innovative features which includes detachable keyboard which transfers the tablet into notebook, seems to be copied from Asus Transformer and Transformer Prime.


Lenovo also said it will use the User Interface Mondrian, and not using Android's UI. In order to give competition to Touchwiz and Touch Sense Lenovo will be bringing its own Mondrian user interface and along with its own app store. Lenovo also claim the tablet to provide a whopping battery life of 20 hours. 

Lenovo tablets previously called their IdeaPad series, but now apparently they do the rebranding and called IdeaTab, Unfortunately there are no details on pricing and release to consumers who are interested in buying it.
